How do I add a CE device to Coffalyser.Net?

in Working with Coffalyser.Net

A capillary electrophoresis (CE) device has to be added to your organisation before you can analyse MLPA data with Coffalyser.Net. You can add a CE device as follows:

  1. Right-click on CE Devices and select Add CE Device ....
  2. On the general tab, select the CE device from the CE device dropdown menu.
  3. Select the filter set from the CE device filter dropdown menu.
  4. Optionally enter something in the location and remarks fields to recognize the CE device.
  5. Click OK.

This procedure is described in more detail in Appendix V of the reference manual. Alternatively, you can watch the video below.

In case you are unable to view the video on YouTube you can also download it here.

Background

Each type of capillary electrophoresis device has its own specifications, which is why a specific CE device has to be selected for each experiment. Appendix V of the reference manual contains more information on the supported devices and filter sets. The appendix also contains instructions on how to view, edit and delete a CE device in Coffalyser.Net.
